Our Charity Work

We work with a number of charities as part of our support for the wider work of the Church.

As Catholics we are called to work together for the Common Good.  Therefore the Mini Vinnies have a regular cycle of giving that helps local, national and international communities.

CAFOD - International Charity

CAFOD works with communities across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, helping people to tackle the poverty and injustice they face. They work wherever the need is greatest, with people of all faiths and none.

Their latest international updates and emergencies news can be found on their news pages.

CAFOD have a lovely website for children.

We support CAFOD during Refugee Week by taking part in a refugee walk and making a donation to their refugee crisis fund.

Royal British Legion - National Charity

The Royal British Legion remember those who lost their lives on active service in all conflicts; from the beginning of the First World War right up to the present day, as well as all those who have served and their families.

Every year in November, we show our support by selling poppies in our front office to raise vital funds to help today's Armed Forces community.

The Quex Road Food Bank - Local Charity (Parish)

The Quex Road food bank distributes food to the local community. The St. Mary's community support this food bank throughout the year.

The Catholic Children's Society

The Catholic Children’s Society supports disadvantaged children and families across London, Hertfordshire and the South East.  They work with individuals of all faiths and none; their sole aim is to help those in greatest need.  Our Christmas nativity play is performed for the Catholic Children's Society.
