On Wednesday 12 October 2016 St Mary’s Catholic Primary School were privileged to welcome Rt. Rev. Nicholas Hudson, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster to our school.
The day began with Mass celebrated at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. On Wednesday Bishop Nicholas Hudson celebrated Mass with Fr Alex and Fr Michael. Following Mass Bishop Nicholas visited the children and took a tour of the school. He was very impressed by the courteous behaviour of the children and their pride in their school. Bishop Hudson told the children about two healing stories about Edward the Confessor. All the children enjoyed the story about Gilly Michael. We are delighted to learn that Bishop Nicholas will visit St Mary’s at the start of 2017. Fr Michael, Sr Philomena and Fr Alex were excited to meet the children in their school setting.
We are delighted to share that Bishop Nicholas has now confirmed his visit to St Mary’s in February 2017. The visit is part of his episcopal visits to parishes.
